Gloomy Moon's Light
In midst of night
when all is still
under a gloomy moon's light
in bed I will
think about what's done
and what is yet to come
I lay awake eyes open wide
and think of you
under a pale moon's light
how it fell through
the life we shared
and all future plans we had
Deep in night
between awake and sleep
in a blue moon's light
I promise my heart I'll keep
it safe from break and ache
and love's harsh forsake
Dreaming eyes shut tight
about love's thrill
in a fading moon's light
maybe some day I will
find a love true
and risk my foolish heart anew
