Sincerely Your Ex

Love of my life

Once I believed you were mine

and you were sure I was yours

but after all we went through

you were able to leave

without any remorse

All those years

I believed we belonged together

and you were sure we did

but it all ended in tears

when you left with your crisis

of life's mid

No room for the old

not even for the kids

your love suddenly stone cold

leaving us nothing

but broken pieces

and bits

You started out anew

believed it was for the best

and I was sure it was

for you

but we were all a mess

And now you've been left

she packed her things and took a bus

and you wrote you want to come back

but that wouldn't be for the best

for us

For after you left

you see

I picked up all the bits and pieces

you believed no longer were yours

and I was sure were mine

I took care of everything

and now

we're all just doing fine

No need for you these days

no not this time

and you can blame your selfish ways

for here's

where I draw the line

I wish you nothing but the very best

and you know

where to send the cheques

So goodbye

may your days be blessed

Sincerely your

I am pleased you didn't take him back after hurting you that way. Sometimes strong women should prevail. Keep up the good work.

Very deep, to the point, carries the message beautifully - 'get out and stay away', really loved it. Thank you.
