Lost
Poisonous illusions
scared
I keep my eyes shut

I kick and scream
against perfect delusions
but there's no way back
Lost
Buried underneath a thin blanket
I struggle to breathe
white padded walls surround me
Beautiful hallucinations
I drift off
in endless dreams

Verloren
Angstaanjagende hersenschimmen
bang
houd ik mijn ogen gesloten
Ik schop en schreeuw
tegen de perfecte misleiding
maar vind geen weg terug
Verloren
Begraven onder een dunne deken
hap ik naar lucht
witte gecapitonneerde muren houden me vast
Oogverblindende begoochelingen
ik zink weg
in eindeloze dromen

Beautiful hallucinations - exactly what they are. you express the up and down emotions very well.

Intense and gripping. In the pain, is still beauty.

I agree. I love the tug of war that seems to be taking place here. I have a "Lost" poem, too, but much different in style.

Fenny,
I sent you (this) because I very much would like to see what you have to say.
For some reason, I can not add a link to your comment section, so please do stop by my first post to see.

Fenny, I like your work very much. It makes me wish I could read the Dutch as well, to experience the original feel of the poems.
I am linking to you on my blog in the Poet's Ring section. Please stop by mine and let me know what you think.
If you decide to add me to your links, I would be very pleased.
