Spring's Return
A shy sun awakes the flowers first to bloom
until the air's filled with their sweet
and fresh perfume
The trees show off again their brightest green
when little buds unfold the tiniest leaves
you've ever seen
Birds come back and sing a cheery song
as winter's remains are few
and almost gone
Though the wind's still a bit nippy
April rains are warm
and you can see it everywhere
spring's returned with all his charm

In its simplicity, this poem conveys the essence of the season. Your piece, like Spring, has great charm. I love the words "shy sun".

Ah, the joys of spring's beginning again. I love the smell of it.
