Violence
I broke up with him a few months ago
and ever since
he's been stalking me every day
"As long as he's not violent
there's not much we can do"
the police say
and
"Try not to worry
he'll probably get tired of this soon"
after they told him to leave here in a hurry
Here we are sitting in his car
after he ambushed me from behind
I managed to cut loose once
but I didn't get very far
He's looking at the gun
and says
"I know you won't be coming home"
and
"Life means nothing without you
but I don't want to go alone"
I can see in his eyes when he looks at me
that this is not a bluff
and as he points the gun towards my head
only one thought has time to sink in
I wonder if this is violent enough

Yikes!! You have taken on some frightening topics today. I hope they are not that close to home, but either way, they are excellent in the tension they evoke.

Woah! Dark stuff, Fenny. I hope it is simply the conjurings of an unsettled Muse.

I'm also wondering if this is personal or just a story. I hope you aren't facing this yourself Fenny or anyone you know. There is too much of this kind of violence in the world. Even worse when it's 'close to home' . Things can escalate without notice, in no time at all. Sending a hug and do take care, G
