When You Left
You left me to bear
the empty space
stopped to care
withdrew your face
wiped off my touch
like sand on clothes
my life's on the rocks
yours unfolds
One by one
you undid the ties
once bound
left me on thin ice
while you ran
for solid ground
there
you broke every spell
once obeyed
and left me hell
left me
to walk the blade

This one certainly cuts like a knife because it is so true and so familiar.

Whew! "Walk the blade" is a pretty raw image. Pain remains long-after the scars have healed.
